Tough getting up this morning, the morning after the first day at the Fest. Went to the Paulaner tent and met up with a couple of local cops, Peter and Wolfgang...had a great evening with them and the others that shared the table.
Listened to the German band play Elvis and Teddy Bear and numerous Ein Prosits!! Going to shop today and then go to the Fest earlier and then probably dinner at our favorite Spatenhaus.

The best way to begin
Getting started! People gather and meet hoping to find room inside one of the tents.
Walked through the Partnach Gorge today after friends left and went back up near Frankfurt. This was probably a three hour excursion and you walk down through this gorge where the mountain water is rushing down and cutting its way through the rock. And, of course, after so much walking we had to stop for an Oktoberfest beer beside the gorge.
